Niche Boutique

Niche Boutique

916 Broad Ripple Ave.
Indianapolis, IN 46220
Neighborhood: Broad Ripple
True to its name, the recently opened Niche Boutique occupies its own distinct spot in the Indy shopping scene. The Broad Ripple shop, which sells clothing and accessories, features a heavily stylized Western feel with a rocker edge. A large buffet sideboard is neatly loaded with designer jeans. Niche's prices generally fall under $300, not bad for designer jeans (among the brands are Link and Frankie B.) and T-shirts (such as Public Library).
Indy Swank

Indy Swank

1043 Virginia Avenue
Indianapolis, IN 46203
Neighborhood: South Indy
IndySwank in the Fountain Square neighborhood feels fashionable but not intimidating, much like its owner, Jennifer Rice Von Deylen. The shop, which opened in fall 2009, is stocked with her vintage finds (sunglasses, faux-fur coats), as well as consignment pieces. She also carries Indy-made items such as handmade bags and aprons, jewelry and local art. Why vintage? "Because it's unique. It's good for the environment, and it's economical. If you went through my wardrobe, you'd find most of it is vintage," Von Deylen says.
The Toggery

The Toggery

1810 Broad Ripple Ave.
Indianapolis, IN 46220
Neighborhood: Broad Ripple
Gone are the days when some of us could buy a $600 purse and a $300 pair of shoes without batting an eyelash. But, you can find the same high-end stuff, previously owned, if you know where to look. The Toggery, which specializes in the consignment of women's clothes and accessories, has been in business for 20-plus years. It's made its mark by accepting only the best new or like-new, upscale, designer and couture merchandise. It carries almost all sizes and has more than 10,000 items on display.
Frankey's

Frankey's

912 East Westfield Boulevard
Indianapolis, IN 46220
Neighborhood: Broad Ripple
Frankeys opened in October 2003 as an upscale womens specialty clothing boutique. It's taken a edgy-yet-stylish approach to its inventory, deciding to leave mainstream looks to the department stores.
Chaos

Chaos

1001 N. State Road 135, Suite D2
Greenwood, IN 46142
Nothing to wear on a Saturday night? Looking for an ultra-trendy look - but something that no one else has? Head over to Chaos, and pick out a little something from Chanel, Juicy Couture, Prada or Tiffany. The chic Greenwood boutique, with its amazingly cute clothes and cool accessories, serves women from all over the city who don't want to blend into the crowd.
