One stop phone shop – Google number gets my vote

As if the world has not gone gaga for Google enough, Google’s come with yet ANOTHER cool innovation – Google Voice.

I recently learned about Google Voice after getting a random-numbered text from a close friend who told me to hit him back on his Google-number. I became instantly envious when I learned that this one number will connect all of your phones together on one set of digits and it doesn’t actually exist plugged into any particular place. From work to cell to home, your people can dial one number to get to you. This number can even send text message and you can read your voicemail in an e-mail. You get to determine by individual preference where they can reach you, and get this – it’s FREE.

I instantly went to the Google site to sign up (google.com/googlevoice), but as with all cool new gadgets, there’s a catch – you have to be invited – and it could take weeks! Ugggh.

Anyway, I trust it’ll be worth it in the end. Make your way to Google and check out the newness and get in line behind me for your invitation.  I’m all for making my life simpler.
