Kudos to Indy's tucked away local bistros...
I recently took a friend to Saffron Cafe birthday dinner - her choice - I'd never heard of the place. Anyway, I was immediately impressed from the second I walked in the door. Beautiful place, quiet, quaint. Fab hospitality... Tasty eats. I had the Saffron version of a gyro. Friendy had the honey lamb. Both meals were fantastic and we were given PLENTY of food. A tad bit pricey - dinner was a little over $50.
Try the tea... It's a chocolate, minty variety. No tea bags - they make it fresh for you. Overall a great experience and a nice break from the nation chain spots.
