Cocktail hats are fun, but how often do you really go to cocktail parties? And who really wants a cocktail themed-hat when she could have a tea-tale hat?

1. To make the hat, start with a buckram base. If you don’t want to mess with buckram, use thin cardboard.

2. Cut your material in a circle, circular shape using a CD as a pattern. Cover it in duct tape.

3. Now it’s time for your cup. I will leave it up to you to decide what your head can easily support, but we used a Barbie teacup and saucer. Position it in the center of your base; using a hole punch, make two holes on either side of the base.

4. Thread elastic through the holes and tie it in a knot. This will be what keeps the hat on your head.

5. Finally, using a hot-glue gun, glue the teacup to the saucer, and the sauceer to the base, covering the elastic for a neat finish. Stick your pinky out for a high-class effect.
