My Morning Jacket at White River State Park

Jim James resembled a mad scientist of rock 'n' roll Sunday night at the Lawn at White River State Park. The My Morning Jacket frontman arrived onstage wearing a blue overgarment akin to a formal lab coat, accented by a portable vocal-effect machine hanging from his neck. He struck guitar chords as if unleashing the power of Zeus, and his ever-wild mane of hair flipped up and down, left and right throughout his band's 140-minute performance.
