Jimmy Buffett jumpstarts summer
Parrotheads carried inflatable sharks, wore pink-flamingo headgear and sported bikini tops fashioned from coconuts Saturday night at Verizon Wireless Music Center. That's the norm when Jimmy Buffett comes to town, but timing -- as in calendar placement -- made this concert different than the rest. Tropical-minded singer-songwriter Buffett had played 27 shows at the 24,000-capacity amphitheater before Saturday, and none had been staged earlier than June 3.
