Jackson Browne at the Lawn
By David Lindquist, Metromix
Jackson Browne has varied his sound across more than 40 years of recording, but his songwriting translates into a remarkably consistent narrative when the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performs live. His prominent themes played out Tuesday night at the Lawn at White River State Park: The slacker who's aware of what's going on, but also doesn't have the answers. He's in touch with humanist ideals, and he's wary of material things that other people value.
