The 2010 American Music Awards got underway at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 21 with a star-studded red carpet, including some especially striking looks from Taylor Swift (love the bangs), Rihanna (red becomes her) and Nicki Minaj (um, what?). Inside, Justin Bieber was the night's big winner, earning four awards including both Artist of the Year and Breakthrough Artist honors. But really, we all know what the big news of the night was: Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block, onstage at the same time! It seems only fitting that two of the best boy bands of all time were the only things that could upstage Bieber's historic night.
