As Mo Childs, a.k.a. Mojistic, readies his currently untitled second release, he says the future looks brighter than ever. Signing on with a high-profile manager will do that for you.

“I just signed with Jovan Dillard, who has been with DTP (Disturbing Tha Peace) and Def Jam for the last seven-plus years,” says Childs. “I’m pretty excited about that! It was a great start to the year.”

Mojistic’s latest track, “Time Is Now,” features local songwriter Jennie Devoe, and it will be used by WISH-TV for Butler sports highlights. He also volunteers with I AM 4 Kids Foundation, work he considers essential to the music and his life.

“If we started to join together to do more things than just trying to get our music heard, we would make a bigger impact,” he says. “Making a difference in the community and being a positive light goes farther. After that, the music will follow.”
