Some DJs just do their work and push along to the next gig, playing the same sets, same songs, for the same types of crowds. DJ Limelight, who holds down Saturday nights at Blu, is not one of those DJs.
Limelight is one of those cats who understands that maintaining a moving dance floor is Job No. 1. His sets are smooth and funky, with healthy selections of today’s hottest records. You don’t maintain a weekly residency at a beautiful club like Blu without knowing your stuff. DJ Limelight always keeps the floor packed. The Beautiful People love him.
Limelight also has a very acute understanding of old-soul music, house music and classic hip-hop. It’s this kind of insight that has led to high-profile gigs in Chicago and Las Vegas.
