Originally due for release last year, this medieval adventure comedy reunites “Pineapple Express” co-stars James Franco and Danny McBride with director David Gordon Green. Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel co-star as their love interests. Something tells us Franco and Portman probably won’t match their career highs in “127 Hours” and “Black Swan,” but a little bit of intentionally silly fantasy still sounds hard to resist.
Also opening: Russell Brand remakes the ‘80s Dudley Moore comedy “Arthur” with Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner; Saoirse Ronan plays a young assassin for her “Atonement” director Joe Wright in “Hanna,” co-starring Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett; the inspiring story of surfer and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton comes to the screen in “Soul Surfer.”
