Buzz-meter ranking: 8. Easily one of the most buzzed about titles set to preview at the Con, the excitement only grew when Cameron announced he'd be screening 24 minutes of footage. Then came the mixed reactions: some felt the fantasy visuals were breathtaking, others griped that the action, characters and story seemed underwhelming. But the movie kept everyone talking through the weekend, and if "Avatar" exits Comic-Con as slightly more of an underdog than it entered, that might not be such a bad thing.
