Sharon Osbourne is quitting NBC's America's Got Talent, according to a report this morning in the New York Post.
Osbourne, who sent a cryptic message on Twitter a few weeks ago raising questions about her desire to stick with the show, tells the Post that she is upset with how the network treated her son, Jack, who was up for a spot on a new NBC reality TV series, after he disclosed that he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
Jack, 26, had been in talks with the network to appear in Stars Earn Stripes — in which celebrities compete in various military exercises, but Osbourne says her son was fired by e-mail two days before he was to report to work.
"I just can't be fake," she tells the Post. "It's discrimination, and it was badly handled."
She also is upset with what she says is the network's lies about how things went down. While there was no signed contract between Jack and NBC, Osbourne says there was a verbal commitment. According to the Post, she says she will not return to Talent next season.
