Joey Kovar's struggles with drugs were featured on reality TV.
And now, TMZ is reporting that the Real World and Celebrity Rehab star was found dead this morning in Chicago at a friend's home. Kovar was 29.
Kovar's rep, according to TMZ, says the female friend who found Kovar called 911 and authorities rushed to the scene, where he was pronounced dead.
While on Real World: Hollywood, Kovar entered rehab halfway through the 2007 season for alcohol and drugs, admitting he'd struggled with substance abuse for years.
He sought help for cocaine and ecstasy addiction on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2010.
Mackenzie Phillips, who appeared on the show with him, is among the fans expressing sadness at the news. She tweeted today: RIP Joey Kovar my heart breaks. My love and prayers go out to your family.
