Better late than never, right?

At least that's what Jon Gosselin is probably hoping his ex-wife, Kate, thinks about his long-overdue apology three years after their bitter split.

"I am sorry, because I did stuff I wouldn't want done to me," he admits to People, referring to his very public wild-child antics, which included dating younger women and getting an earring.

The Gosselins split in 2009 after spending much of their time on television on TLC's Jon and Kate Plus 8, which chronicled their family life with two sets of multiples: twin girls and sextuplets.

He also admits that their split wasn't all Kate's fault. "I was passive-aggressive. Then I'd get mad, but I was the one who wasn't communicating."

He adds that therapy has helped him further avoid the pitfalls of fame."I used to talk (sic) Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (Michael Jackson's rabbi) a lot when I lived in New York," he says. "He said, 'There are two things you can do with your fame-aasell out or take it and use it for good.' I didn't grasp that at the time."
