News of Ernest Borgnine's death has prompted an outpouring of love and support from Hollywood.
The 95-year-old actor of television and movies passed away this morning in Los Angeles. His longtime spokesman, Harry Flynn, tells the Associated Press that Borgnine died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with his family by his side.
He is well-known for his role as scheming Naval officer Quinton McHale in sitcom McHale's Navy (1962-66). Younger audiences might remember him as Dominic Santini from Airwolf (1984-86), which starred Jan-Michael Vincent as a renegade pilot. Last year, he appeared in Hallmark cable channel's movie, Love's Christmas Journey. He also won an Oscar for his work in 1955's Marty.
