Just announced: Amanda Plummer has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in the role of Wiress.

Plummer, 55, who starred in Pulp Fiction and is a Tony Award-winning stage actress, plays a quirky character who earns the nickname of "Nuts" from fellow tributes because she doesn't communicate in a traditional way.

The synoposis: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. They embark on a "Victor's Tour" and sense a rebellion is brewing. Lionsgate will release The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Nov. 22, 2013.

And EW.com is reporting that Mark Consuelos has joined the cast of American Horror Story's Season 2. Consuelos joins Jessica Lange, James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Zachary Quinto, Adam Levine, Chloe Sevigny, and Lizzie Brochere in the new season, set in an institution for the criminally insane. Consuelos will play a patient.
