Terrible Service. Good food. Last night was a special occasion - my granddaughter's birthday, dinner for eight. Had to stop food server to ask for: an 8th appetizer plate (which took much too long to get), refills on water (did not come by even one time to refill), no spoon in one of the three appetizer bowls. Our entrees came less than 3 minutes after receiving our salads to the dismay of all of us. Everyone liked their meals: the Ahi Tuna was great as were the Scallops w/Risotta (but only 6 extremely small pieces of asparagus even though the entree title included asparagus). Asked the food server if the salad dressings were made on sight and told yes but none of the three different ones were anything special. The worst part of the meal was the timing on the entrees being served and is something that should never happen anywhere, anytime. Just too many things wrong with the service. Hope they read their reviews.

Huge sandwiches at a great price with FREE sides and iced tea. My idea of heaven. I have tried the beef, ham and pulled pork poboys. The pork is probably my fave. Love the cheesy etoufee and the spicy tomato creole. Bread pudding is delicious as well. Atmosphere is sparse. But service is good and friendly. Just let them know it is your first time.

In particular the top shelf liquors such as Absolut and Grey Goose vodkas are counterfeit. I patronized this establishment on two occasions May 7th 2013 and May 9th 2013 and ordered both drinks. What I discovered was that both drinks were not the drink that was on the bottle label. After drinking these counterfeit liquors I became ill the next day. I am hoping to bring awareness to this matter so that no one else will defrauded by this establishment.

My girlfriend and I went and ate there last night. It was so horrible. The food looked old like it has been sitting there for a long time. Nothing on the bar was even steaming. I couldnt believe what I seen. I ask the waiter if I could get some hot food cause I was hungry and all the food looked dried up and old and she freaked out and threw a menu on me and said if I wanted hot food then "I PAY MORE!". Well, I tell you this freinds, I wrote them and email and im giving them til tomorrow night to write me back. If they dont either refund me or give my girlfriend and I two free meals to make up their mistake, than im calling the board of health. No one deserves that kind of customer service. There are better places out there. I suggest you all dont waste your hard earned money in that place. Peace be with you all. :)

I've been to every Ethiopian restaurant I've been able to find in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Indy and this one is simply the best food, hands down! Its in a strip mall past its prime full of potholes, etc, but don't let that put you off - the food is amazing!

We were excited to check out this new shop while in town visiting family, but the staff was terrible! My six year old child sat quietly in the corner with his grandfather touching nothing as we shopped, but it was wet outside so his shoes were wet and he swung his feet, making squeaking noises - all of our shoes were squeaking as we walked through the store, their floors were highly polished, our shoes were wet. A very angry faced staff member came up and said we had to make our child stop making that noise immediately. I asked what the big deal was as we were the only customers and everyone's shoes were squeaking - he replied by saying, "children need to be taught how to behave when they are around adults!" He clearly was furious and hates kids. My child is known for how quiet and docile he is in most circumstances, this is not a problem kid, he was saying nothing, touching nothing! I took my child's hand and went to walk out without saying another word, the clerk actually followed us to the door going on angrily about how children should been seen and not heard! We'll never go back, and we'll be telling everyone we know. We'd been planning to buy multiple products, we left without spending a cent and my in-laws, who live in town, swear they will never return. I run a highly successful specialty food store myself in my hometown, and *customer service* is key to success in food. This rates as one of the rudest customer service experiences of my life and honestly, the vinegars we'd had the chance to sample before this were perfectly nice, but nothing special.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been craving Italian food and now I am more than satisfied. There was a huge wine list, outdoor seating, exceptional service and a variety of delicious food items. What more could a girl want! I appreciate that this is a family owned, local establishment. (That just makes it even better!) I only regret that I didn't try this place sooner.

I originally signed a contract with them in June 2012 thinking the barn was pretty and it would be a perfect place for a reception. The man I spoke with wasnt the friendliest but I chalked it up to well he just has a gruff personality and paid a 300 dollar refundable deposit with the agreement to pay 500 dollars 3 weeks before my wedding event in April. Well three weeks before I call and meet with a lady named Shelly. She said the contract was changing but that she would honor the old contract just to not bring alcohol in unless it was catered and so on. Well when we got the barn first off it was disgusting. The pool table doesnt work and had bird poop all over it. The kitchen pluggins did not work and when I went to call to ask about the refund the woman told me oh well theres a new contract its 800 dollars straight out with no money back. When it was the same woman who three weeks prior had told me she would honor my old contract. She said she would double check the contract and call me back that night SHOCKER she DIDNT!!!! I am beyond mad I would have never paid 800 dollars for that STUPID barn especially requiring that I deal with these rude people but now it looks like I got screwed out of it. BEWARE!!!!!

Severe food poisoning when I ate here. General manager was very rude when I called to let him know it was confirmed by my doctor. He refused to see my doctors report and told me to hire an attorney. He also lied to me on the phone and said Marion County Health Department was out and checked out everything to be fine. I do not believe he knew ANYONE can access the report online. My food was prepared on Friday, I ate there Sunday night....that's how they make their food- confirmed by the health inspector.

Visited Papa Joe's in Avon a couple of Fridays ago. First time and will NOT be our last! Great food, great prices, great service! A great wine list. They offer both mid range wines and a reserve list. I love Italian food and between atmosphere, service and price, this place is a must go to! I would recommend making reservations. Seems they fill up quick.
