Ebony Hoffman, 27, 6-foot, 2-inch forward of the Indiana Fever.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you on the court? I fell during warmups. Off came my warmup pants. The feet were in the air, I looked like a dead ant, just all fours, it was pretty bad, but pretty funny.
Where do you go to get away from your fans? Home and my bed, where no one can find me but one person. (Laughing.) Not even my parents can find me.
What song do you sing when no one else is around? “Ego” by Beyonce.
If you were mayor of Indianapolis, what one thing would you change? I would change all the construction at one time on all these roads. At least come up with a plan where they finish one project before they start another. That would really help me on my side of town.
Who is YOUR favorite local celebrity? Danny Granger.
What piece of clothing do you wish you’d never worn? I had some Kross Kolorpants in about the eighth grade. Remember when Kris Kross came out, they wore the pants backwards? I wish I never would have worn those.
If you were to go to jail for life tomorrow, what’s the last meal you’d eat in this town? The brunch at BARcelona tapas on Delaware Street; the French toast on Sunday is absolutely divine. It’s the best restaurant in the world and I’ve been all over the world.
What are you most passionate about? Family.
What’s the best rumor you’ve ever heard about yourself? (Laughs.) All of them are true so they aren’t really rumors. So what’s the best truth that I’ve heard? That I am just a wonderful person inside and out, loving and darling and everybody wants to be my friend.
Indianapolis: Love it or leave it ? Love it — can’t get enough of the nice people, the small town and the growth are concerned, racing is pretty hard for me, it’s just going around a circle, so watching it is pretty hard. I keep up with the Colts. I like going to Indians games and sitting out there — those are pretty nice. I’m a baseball fan here and there.
