I have a 15-year-old sister who had a fever this year, and the only prescription was not cowbell. She had a serious case of what has now been diagnosed as Bieber fever. I did what any good older brother would: I made YouTube videos and scheduled tweets to the pop star in hopes that when she saw him in concert she might be the one he sings toShe did not get to meet the Biebster, but when came home and got on his Twitter page, she saw her avatar. Justin Bieber was now following her. I’ve never seen her so excited.

January marks my one-year anniversary of Foursquare. This app has really connected me with people in Indianapolis with the creation of 4SqINDY. In a short 12 months, Foursquare has gone from 250,000 users to more than 5 million. Foursquare also teamed up with my second favorite 2010 social media craze: Conan. The TeamCoco Blimp traveled across the country and you could unlock a badge by checking in.
