Pioneer Cabin Tours
Johnson County Museum of History - 135 N. Main St. - FranklinA tour will be conducted by Katie Andrews Potter, author of "Going Over Home," a young adult novel depicting the challenges experienced by early settlers in Indiana. Potter will appear in pioneer costume portraying Sally Hendricks, who for many years resided with her husband Lewis in what is now the museum's Hendricks Cabin.

Johnson County Museum of History - 135 N. Main St. - FranklinExhibit includes memories and photos from the lives of the twin brothers, who shared top honors statewide in high school basketball in 1961 before becoming star players at Indiana University. Both went on to enjoy successful NBA careers for more than a decade, from the mid-1960s through the 1970s.

Johnson County Museum of History - 135 N. Main St. - FranklinVolunteers will be available to assist your search through the museum library's extensive collection of official Johnson County court records, subject files, AncestryLibrary.com and more. Visitors who have ancestors from Kentucky will want to attend the special presentation: "Kentucky Land Records" at 7:30 p.m. The program will be presented by Kandie Adkinson from Kentucky's Land Office Division, who will discuss how inspecting official land documents may reveal valuable information about how one's ancestors lived and worked.
