Ron Dean, 40
Painter and graphic designer, working on a “vision” series of paintings.
Moved in: Dec. 3.
Best moment so far living in IIAC: My first art exhibit, at January’s First Friday in the IIAC.
Favorite nearby place to go for creative inspiration: All the parks around town.
Biggest influence on my current work: C.W. Mundy, from the Stutz Artists Association, really encouraged me to return to my painting.
Biggest challenge to my artistic life: Staying consistent and focused on fine arts.
Most exciting thing I have planned in the next three months: Participating in a mural contest in Richmond this summer.
Worst thing about living in the IIAC: The construction is the only thing I can think of. Everything else is great.
If my apartment caught fire and I could only save one thing, it would be: My pictures of my boys.
