I've been to Chef JJ's Back Yard a few times now. I must say, it is one of my favorite experiences in Indy. The food is always phenomenal but even more important you always feel like a friend.

I say "experience" because that is the real gist behind Chef JJ's Back Yard. From the Sun King beer that's always on tap, to the beautiful back patio overlooking the White River you feel like you're on vacation from the moment you walk in the door.

Another great aspect of Chef JJ's is that they are big believers in local ingredients. I've been to an event that focused on hot peppers grown in Franklin, Indiana as well as another event that paired various sauces prepared with local favorite, "Country Mouse, City Mouse.".....oh and did I mention Sun King Beer!

Finally, the food! The food will be some of the most amazing tastes to ever hit your palette. There is always a theme which allows the staff to be playfully creative when designing the evening's menu.

It is not a restaurant, so my only regret is that you can't necessarily order something you've had before.....but recipes are typically posted and suggestions are always welcome.

I can't wait until my next vacation...err....I mean visit.
