100 Years of Johnson County Music
Johnson County Museum of History - 135 N. Main St. - FranklinThe exhibit celebrates the rich history of music in Johnson County from the 1880s though the 1980s, including: memories, artifacts and photos of Franklin's Opera House built in the 1890s, Gene Kellams dance band, regular performers at Heflen's Camp in pre-WWII Edinburgh, 1960s pop music at the Whiteland Barn and other local groups such as Matinee Musicale, Johnson County 4-H bands, Voices of Franklin and "one man band" J.C. Holstein.

Columbus Avenue Church of Christ - 4620 Columbus Ave. - AndersonEvent in honor of all those who have served and currently serve in the 173rd Airborne Brigade, Sky Soldiers, features dinner, guest speakers and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit 173rd Airborne Brigade, The Wounded Warrior Project, Indian USO and Wish for Our Heroes.
