Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts: Herron Makes Books
Arthur M. Glick JCC - 6701 Hoover Road - Indianapolis (North Indy)Books as art is the theme of this exhibit by students from the Book Arts program at Herron School of Art and Design. Instructor, artist and bookmaker Karen Baldner guided students through an intensive hands-on immersion into the book arts, leading to fanciful creations that are at once literary, visual and historical.

Art Bank - 811 Massachusetts Ave. - Indianapolis (Downtown)Portrait artist Reginald O.B. Strong Sr. is the featured artist for the month of June. In addition to his passion for art, the self-taught artist is also a musician and songwriter, and attempts to translate that same energy he holds for his music into his visual art. He presents this exhibit as a chance for viewers to join him on his journey of exploration into his passions.

New York St. - Indianapolis (Downtown)The exhibit offers a glimpse at the legacy of Professor Phillip Tennant, not only through his own, sought-after creations, but through work by some of his former students. Tennant founded Herron's Furniture Design Program and helped place Herron among the very top programs in the country. In the Berkshire, Reese and Paul galleries.
