And the winner is…
Kilroy's Bar and Grill
201 South Meridian St., IN 46225
Neighborhood: Downtown
This Bloomington staple found a new home in Indianapolis in late 2009, but with its impressive array of shots (picky? They still have something for you), it quickly became a Downtown favorite.
Nominees
Tru nightclub
6235 Guilford Ave.
Indianapolis, IN Neighborhood: Broad Ripple
Yes, this club has changed its name again. It was Eden, then J.Y.'s, then All Star's, then Seven, then BuckWildz, and now Tru. With a plan to bring this back to a classic dance club -- like Eden -- Tru's owners hope Tru lasts longer than its contemporaries.
Dave & Buster's at Castleton Commons
8350 Castleton Corner Drive
Indianapolis, IN 46250Neighborhood: North Indy
A place to release your inner fun. It's an arcade for big kids (and serves a delicious cotton candy martini, too!)
Cadillac Ranch
39 W. Jackson Place
Indianapolis, IN 46225Neighborhood: Downtown
Urban cowboys stampede one of Indy's newer nightspots where they can watch one of 30 plasma TVs, two 10-foot projection screens, or saddle up and take a spin on one the baddest mechanical bulls in town. There is also a full menu featuring burgers and steak sure to satisfy any cowboy.
Imbibe
1105 Shelby St.
Indianapolis, IN 46203Neighborhood: South Indy
This small -- but inviting -- bar within the Fountain Square Theatre Building offers old-school cocktails like a side car or a sazerac. Imbibe has a modern and upscale interior, but not so fancy that you'll need to go home up and put on a jacket.
Best of Indianapolis 2010: The winners are in!
Thanks to everyone who voted for our first-ever Best of Indianapolis! The winners are in! Did your favorite restaurants, bars, clubs and retail shops win?
Congratulations to all the winners and the nominees. These choices were hard ones to make, and all of the great places in this city didn't make it any easier on the voters!
