In a long, slender space that seems to have taken an earthy-chic page from the West Elm catalog, diners enjoy the same kind of elevated comfort food that chef Neal Brown has built his reputation on at Pizzology in Carmel and the former L'Explorateur in Broad Ripple. Libertine is the collaboration of Brown and his sommelier-wife, Lindy, who envisioned the bar as a "cozy, lively" place where people might sit and read a book, or write one. The Libertine puts a creative chef-twist on cocktails; Tincture jars with neroli and violet extract sit on the 15-seat bar. But what really seems to set the bar part are the "interactive cocktails," which allow guests to explore preferences for sweet and bitter/tart.
