Mucky Duck Pub: User Reviews
Mucky Duck Pub
4425 Southport Crossings Drive - Indianapolis(317) 887-3825
Went to this pub on a Friday night around 11. The bar is spacious with something for everyone but a bit confused as to the atmosphere and personality they want to achieve. The first section does have the local irish pub feel mentioned above, but its personality seems conflicted as you work your way to the 80's dance club area or out onto the tikki patio. The parking lot was overflowing into the nearby hotel lots, but as spacious as the bar is it definitely didn't feel crowded. The patrons were largely either older locals or very new 20 somethings. Two beers, a leinenkugel which had a strong citrus flavor, and a land shark which is a more bitter and proper beer, ran $15.50 for the two. The staff, at least on the patio, were inattentive and unknowledgeable about the product, unable to describe their craft and draft beers, and selection on the patio was slim. Additionally, a erroneous charge appeared on my debit card after leaving, which I've had to dispute at the bank so the staff seems to need some better training. At these prices, you might as well go downtown for better atmosphere and service.
