Lemme give you a bit of insight on DJ Paul Bunyon. PB rocks the “5 o’clock Mikki Fikki Mix” on Hot 96.3 (WHHH-FM), but his skills as a remixer/mixtape DJ are what caught my attention when I met him years ago. I was working behind the counter at Rockin’ Billy’s the day he delivered his “Underground Anthem” mixtape. His remixing skills are remarkable, truly a “turntablist/producer.” His radio work and club sets are legend, blending and cutting today’s hottest records with instrumentals and production of his own.
I recall hearing him on the radio, thinking there was no way he was doing what he was doing live. He was. His hands are lightning quick; his blends are consistently clean. As if holding down every other Saturday at Cloud 9, DJing and hosting radio shows aren’t enough, he has also taken the show on the road, with monthly gigs in Miami and Orlando.
