Street art on the near Northside
Street art on the near Northside
Written by Konrad Marshall
Every day, part of my drive to work is going down College and turning right onto Fall Creek. The Starbucks on the corner there used to provide me with a little spark to get my working day moving, until it closed. From then on, it seemed like a grim harbinger of the recession.
This morning, however, I noticed the work of a street bomber on the light box in front of the now shuttered coffee shop. From a distance, the image looked like it had been created on a piece of copper sheet or something. But I got out of my car it was some other soft plastic or textile.
Anyway, seemed very cool to me. I love this stuff. Enjoy!
Update: I just saw two more of these same stencils in the area of the Children's Museum! Now I really want to know where the image comes from, what it represents, and who's responsible.
Have you seen any notable street art around Indy? If so, let us know where it's at.
